• Fashion Friday- Daily Wear

    My Daily Look
    My Daily Outfit
I get asked a lot what I normally wear. I post some more fancier, “I wish I wore” outfits, so there is some wonder about what do I really wear on a daily basis, chasing after three kids all day. So here is what I wear most days. When I have to be out and about, cause lets be real, if I am not going to leave the house then I am not going to get dressed. PJ bottoms and a tank will be look lol. Am I the only one that just opts to stay in PJ’s if you are staying in?
    1. Shirt– I am a tank girl all the way. The other day, I actually counted and I have over a dozen black tank tops. So yes, nine days out of ten, you will catch me in a black tank. They are simple, match everything, and is minimal enough that people notice you not your clothes. Simple to me is a good thing.
    2. Skirt– Love the maxi skirt. There are so girly, you look pulled together, and they are so comfortable. This summer I have been sporting the maxi skirt every day. My small collection is growing quite a bit. But I LOVE this one. Love the bright color and that slit. Perfection.
    3. Bag–  I love my coach bag. It is one of my items that I use every day. It makes me smile. Since having the girls, I don’t splurge on me very often, shopping for them is so much more fun. This was one item that I splurged on myself, and I love it.
    4. MakeUp– I do do my makeup every day and Too Faced is my favorite brand. This particular pallet is one that I use often. I like looking pulled together it makes my day better, and for my hubby like I to be pretty. That same girl that he married more then a decade ago.
    5. Shoes– Being short, I like ones that give me a bit of height. But chasing the kiddos, there is no way that I can wear a heel. So wedges give me that height, and still a bit more stable. Love this time of year where I can wear open toed shoes.

So this is what you will catch me wearing most days. How about you? What do you wear every day? Is this an outfit that you will wear on your daily basis?

  • Soniclear Review

    photo 1 (51)

*This is a sponsored post. I received the Soniclear Antimicrobial Cleaning System
at no cost for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions
are as always, mine and mine alone*

Let me start this by saying that before getting this opportunity, this was an item that I have been looking at already. There are many cleaning brushes on the market at the moment. All offering a better clean then hands and a washcloth alone. They are all on the pricey side, so I have yet to bite the bullet and invest in one. Then this opportunity showed up on my doorstep (or rather in my email). The universe is obviously telling me that I need to give it a whirl.

I am in LOVE with this system. It came with two brush heads; a smaller one for your face and a large one for your body. What is great is it can auto switch the modes when the different heads are put on. No need to try to figure out how to get the modes switched. Very easy to use this. Per the instructions I use it every other day on my face and use it once a day on my body. For my face I have been using the fourth speed. That speed is designed for sensitive skin, and since it is a new product for me, I thought better safe then sorry and go easy. I have seen some improvement in my skin after using this several times. The little lines on my face are diminishing, I am noticing that my skin tone is improving, and I am getting a much better clean.

The real improvement I have noticed is on my body. For the last year I have been dealing with breakouts on my chest. So pretty, thanks changing hormones, I swear now in my thirties I am dealing with it way more then I ever had to in my teens. Ugh. For my body I am using third speed this is the top speed for your body. After using this for a week, all of the breakout on my girls is gone. G. O. N. E. Gone. To me this is huge, if I would have know that it would have been so easy to get rid of it, I would have bought this a while a go.

This particular model has major perks that are not offered in other models. First, it is the only cleaning system on the market that has an antimicrobial component to it. During the manufacturing process it undergoes a treatment that will keep those bristles on the brushes extra clean. Second, it is actually a bit cheaper then the other brushes on the market (huge perk for my wallet). Third, it has 6 cleaning speeds; three for your face and three for your body. And last, it comes with a lifetime warranty. You can check it out here.

Do any of you guys use a cleaning system like this? Are you interested in it?

  • Chocolate Bar… For Your Face

    photo 2 (50)

Thanks to my amazing grandma, I was finally able to get my hands on Too Faced Chocolate Bar. YEA!!! I was seriously jumping in the store, so giddy to get my hands on it. She has to be the coolest grandma ever, I can always count on her to indulge my addiction. My grandma was happy to be able to give me a gift that I was so excited about. Even though, I think I may have embarrassed my kinda reserved grandma. Ohwell, I was that happy and excited. Like the two year old that I am; I ran home, washed my faced and began to play with this AMAZING pallet. (So I will fully admit and disclose that I am already a little biased. I love Too Faced; they can do no wrong and I love all the names of colors)

First, lets start with this packaging. How incredibly cute is this box? I am so loving this. While all the Too Faced products are cute, this one takes the cake. Not only is the box adorable, the actual makeup tin is genius. It looks just like a chocolate bar. Fun!

Next, when you open it, the makeup actually smells like chocolate. And not in that weird chemical way some chocolate scented items do. You know the ones that say they smell like chocolate, you open it up, take a whiff and are like in what universe is this chocolate. Nothing like that. It really does have a delicious scent. My hubby made the mistake of trying to get ready when I was in there playing with this for the first time. I was just standing there enjoying this amazing smell and my hubby looked at me with the strangest look on his face. When I finally got enough courage to look at him, he blankly asked what in the world I was doing. So yup made him smell my makeup too. I think, he thinks that I need a padded room and some serious help.

Like all Too Faced products, they are incredibly pigmented. I have been in a MAC phase, and while I love MAC they are wonderful. I forgot how much more pigmented Too Faced is. So that first time, whoops a bit to much. Good thing it is just makeup and I could wash it off and start over. And even better, even with all this pigment, there is no fall out!! LOVE that!! All of the shadows are so creamy and dreamy to blend. There are no harsh lines when working with any of the colors, even the darkest ones in the set. It is made out of actual cocoa powder so I think that may have something to do with how blend-able it is.

    photo 1 (50)

The color names are to fun!! And they kinda make me hungry lol. I think that I am going to break this post into two posts, since it is already a small book. Come check in next week for a break out of all of the colors in this pallet!! They are totally worth their own post!

Do you guys have this pallet yet? What are you thoughts? Do you have any other Too Faced makeup?

  • LOTW- 5 Minute MakeUp

    photo (36)

I am loving all of the tutorials on all of the LOTW (Look of the Week), but they can be a lot of work and time consuming. Lets be honest, while I LOVE these looks and I do wear them often; any time we are going out with my hubby I crank it up a notch. For my normal, daily stuff I have a five-minute makeup routine. With all the girls, and everyone with more then one will understand, there is just no time to spend 20 minutes on makeup. Wish there was, wish that I had this luxury of quiet me time in the bathroom, and I could take my time with my makeup without any rush. And I would always leave the house in perfection. But alas, that is so not the case. Typically I have at least one daughter needing help with something, one asking me for the millionth time what I am doing and one MIA. If I remember to get mascara on both eyes, it is a success lol. Hopefully, I didn’t ruin your image of me to to much there.  So below is my 5-Minute MakeUp Routine:

    MakeUp Needed-

    • Naked Basics Pallet
    • Black Eyeliner
    • Maybellines Big Eyes Mascara
    • Maybellines BB Cream
    • Bobbi Brown’s Antigua- blush
    • BellaPierre Vanilla Pink Lipgloss

    Super Easy Steps:

    1. Line your upper lash line with your black eyeliner. By lining them first you will get the benefits of lining them, but it will be covered with eyeshadow to tone down the harshness of black eyeliner during the day.
    2. Apply Foxy to entire eyelid; lash line to eyebrow.
    3. Apply Faint on the outer third of your eye.
    4. Apply Naked 2 on your crease and slightly above it.
    5. Apply your Maybelline BB Cream all over your face. Blending with circular motions.
    6. Apply Bobbi Brown’s Antigua blush along your check bones. Again blend with circular motions.
    7. Apply BellaPierre’s Vanilla Pink Lipgloss
    8. And last but not least, curl your eyelashes and apply two coats of mascara.

Super easy, super quick, and totally do-able. Even with three kids needing your attention (even if that is just to find out what they are into). How about you? What is your normal, daily makeup routine?

    Party #15

Happy Memorial Day!!! To me Memorial Day is the kick off to summer. There are parties, barbecues, hamburgers, sweet tea, popsicles, swimming. So much fun. But I think that we should take a moment, to appreciate all the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting ours. I don’t think that we will ever truly understand what they go through or what they have sacrificed for all of us. From the bottom heart I so thankful for everything that they do.

Well since it is Memorial Day, I think that we need to party!! The features this week are:

  • Fashion Friday- Simple White Dress

    Great Brunch Outfit

I love a great white dress. Someday when I don’t have three little princesses always running around, I will invest in buying a few. I figure I will have a window once all my kids are out of the nest, to wear pretty white dresses. Do you mama’s brave wearing them with little ones in the house? If anyone does, I am totally impressed.

    About this outfit:

    • Dress– This is the perfect white dress. The top has a bit of structure to it. Love the cap sleeves and the V-neck. Perfect for wearing a small necklace with it. Pull it in around your waist with a small belt, then let it flare out a bit with an A-line skirt. Such a simple dress, but it would be so flattering on. This is one of those dresses that would look amazing all dressed up too.
    • Shoes– In my mind, I wear my white dresses with pink shoes. Again stick with simplicity, and just a simple pink heel with a classic pointed toe.
    • Purse– Is it just me or is this clutch just to cute. I love that it has all the charm and whimsy of a younger girls purse (with the dark polka dots), but looks classy and chic.
    • Hair– With as structured as the top of this dress is, I think mixing it with the unstructured look of a messy bun would top this look off. Plus a messy bun is so “in” at the moment. And lets be honest, that look is not going anywhere anytime soon. They look great on everyone; plus they are so simple to achieve. So here is to the messy bun.

What are your thoughts? White dresses a good thing, or just to much work?

  • May Birchbox Review

    photo 1 (47)

I am so excited, I got my first Birchbox!! For those of you who follow along on my social media you got to see the sneak peak that I got it. It was kinda like getting a present in the mail. Until you open it, there is no telling what is inside. It is a perfect little mystery box. I love that the outside of the package is yellow. It is a such a happy color, so fitting since it is bringing a little bit of happiness right to your front door. Seriously there is nothing not to love about that.

That is certainly not where the happiness ends. Lets open it up-

    photo 2 (48)

The inside of the box is lined with yellow tissue paper and is printed with a black and white striped/chevron pattern that is adorable. What is so great about this box is you get four to five samples and then one “LifeStyle” Extra. In this box, I got four items (three of the four were bigger then a normal sample size but not full size and one item was a full size) and my lifestyle extra. There was a great variety of items- hair product, skin care, makeup and breath crystals.

    photo 3 (25)

Another great perk is, it comes with a postcard size card saying what each item it and how to use it. Makes it so much easier then trying to figure out how or what something is. Also, it says what each item would cost as a full size without any discounts (if you buy through BirchBox you get a discount on all items that come in your box). Here is what was in my box:

    • Gilchrist & Soames- Spa Therapy Lotion: Paraben-free moisturizer leaving skin smooth soft and calm.
    • Nexxus- Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer, Shampoo and Conditioner: Oil infused trio to help keep your hair color vibrant for twice as long
    • Pixi- Shea Butter Lip Balm Coral Crush: This is my favorite item in the box!! It is an amazing lip balm. My lips feel great using it and the color payout is AMAZING! The color is not something that I would normally pick, but it will be great for a picnic or day on the boat.
    • Whish- Shave Crave Shaving Cream: This gave my legs a close shave without any irritation. Love the Grapefruit scent
    • Lifestyle Extra- 32 Oral Care: I was very curious about this product. It says that they are like old-school pop rocks (you know the candy) but designed to freshen and clean your mouth. Candy that also cleans, that is my kind of thing. They were kinda odd. You pour them into your mouth, swish them around (make sure to get all over your mouth), once they start popping you know that they are working. My kids love them.

    PicMonkey Collage

Overall I was very happy with this little box. Anyone else love getting one of these boxes? What did you think of the May box? What has been your favorite thing to get in one?

  • Yea For New Tools

    photo 3 (24)

    MakeUp tools that is!!!

Okay I am like a two year old. I know this, I can accept this, and I can even share this with you, while laughing at myself. For me getting new makeup related items is like Christmas. It is getting a new package to open, new toys to play with, and the moment that I get it I want to rip it open to test it out. Anyone else… {crickets}…. yea ok, maybe just me but I was totally excited to get some new brushes.

ECO Tools is one of those brands that is always awesome. They are completely 100% cruelty free. The handles are made of bamboo so they feel great in your hands. You can buy them at any Walmart/Target or drugstore. Plus they are incredibly cheap, which in the world of brushes is a huge plus. I got my friends daughter her first set up of brushes (I think it came with 5 different brushes for her face and eyes) for about $15. Cheap AND good quality… LOVE it.

    photo 1 (46)

The first one that I got was the Skin Perfecting Brush. With it being summertime, I mostly wear BB and CC Creams. I find that other foundations are just to much. This brush is designed specifically for BB and CC creams. Let me tell you it made a HUGE difference in the application. Up till this point I was just using my foundation brush, and it was ok. This brush though, gives my face an airbrushed look to it. Plus the angled to it makes it so easy to apply the cream in those hard to cover areas (think corner of your eyes, around your nose). It gives great coverage, without having you apply tons of product. At only $8, it was a great find.

    photo 2 (47)

The other brush I picked up was the Custom Buffing Brush. This is one of those brushes that has always been missing from my makeup bag. Every where I look (online) makeup bloggers were talking about needing a flat headed brush. If you were going to use bronzer you needed one, if you used powder foundation you need one, if you applied powered on your face in any way you needed this brush. But I have not found one that I liked enough to actually spend the money on to add to my collection. UNTIL I saw this one. I know that ECO Tools always have wonderful brushes and it was only about $7. I figured it was time to add one. Yup, I should have known to trust my fellow bloggers. This brush makes applying powders a breeze. I really like using it to apply my bronzer and my setting powders. It picks up just a little product at a time, which is great for those of us who are a bit heavy handed; but it makes it so easy to build up the color. Another great find.

I am so happy with these two new brushes to my collection. Have you guys tried either of these? What are your newest brushes? What is your favorite brush?

  • LOTW- Quick Classy Daytime Look

    LOTW Quick Classy Daytime

Anyone else love a quick and simple; yet classy day-look? Something that won’t take to terribly long, but will have you looking all pulled together. Me too, there is something so great about knowing that you are looking your best without a ton of makeup on your face. Here is a quick yet classy daytime makeup look.

    Materials Used:

    • Studio Gear- CC Cream
    • Chocolate Kohl Eyeliner
    • MAC- Brule Matte Eyeshadow
    • MAC- Hoodwinked Shimmer Eyeshadow
    • MAC- Shroom Shimmer Eyeshadow
    • MAC- Omega Matte Eyeshadow
    • NARS Orgasm- Blush
    • Rimmel Mascara
    • BellaPierre Vanilla Pink- Lipgloss

    Step 1-
Again I always start with my eye makeup. Any other makeup artist that you speak with, will tell you to start with foundation. There is a reason why it’s called foundation. And you certainly can. Personally I don’t like it. If I run into fallout, it frustrates me to no end to have to wipe off foundation and re-do it. So I start with applying my eye-makeup. Line both upper and lower waterlines with the chocolate pencil.

    Step 2-
Apply Brule eyeshadow to your entire lid; lash line to eyebrow.

    Step 3-
Apply Hoodwinked eyeshadow to all over the football shape area of your eyelid; lash line to crease.

    Step 4-
Apply Shoom eyeshadow from the inner corner blending outward about half way.

    Step 5-
Apply Omega to your crease, starting at the outside corner and blending inward.

    Step 6-
Apply the CC Cream all over your face. Apply it by stippling it under your eyes, around your nose, between your eyebrows, and on your chin. Blend it in with large circular motions.

    Step 7-
Apply NARS Orgasm blush starting at your hairline, brush the blush down your cheek bone. Stopping about two finger widths from your nose. Then blend using circular motions back up your cheekbone. Blend it into your hair-line up to your temple.

    Step 8-
    Apply Lipgloss to your lips.

    Step 9-
Last but not least (feels like I say that every week), curl and apply your mascara.

What about you guys, do you have a full face of makeup every day or do you have a quick makeup routine? What are your most important items to feel pulled together?

  • Monday Morning MakeUp Madness.. Party #14

    Monday Morning MakeUp Madness

    Monday Morning MakeUp Madness
    Party #14

I am so sorry about missing last week. We ended up traveling out of town to a friends wedding; took all three kiddos and the nanny. So hello to all six of us traveling. While unbelievably fun, it was a lot of people in a two bedroom cabin. Then mothers day, on top of traveling back to town; trying to see both my hubby’s mom and my mom, then getting a moment to myself. The weekend was so much fun and my Mothers Day was amazing; even with it being a travel day. How was everyone’s Mother’s Day? Lots of excuses, and rationalizing there. Bottom line I missed it, and I am sorry. Hopefully all of my wonderful readers who have been linking up, will link up again. Please and Thank you.

Since you all are being so great, and not forgetting about our little party. Lets just jump right into it this week!!
