As you know, I read A LOT. And I read a lot about all kinds of topics. To me, knowledge is the most important thing that you can accumulate in your lifetime. Money comes and goes, friends come and go, things come and go. But knowledge is something that once you have it, you have it. No one can take it away from you and you can’t give it away. So if this is the case, why not be knowledgable in all kinds of subjects? For that reason, I enjoy learning (and reading) about everything that I can get my hands on.
I was so excited to receive a copy of Alexandra Chauran’s “365 Ways To Develop You Psychic Ability” from Llewellyn Worldwide, to read and review. (All of the opinions are my own, and have not been influenced by receiving the book at no cost)
Talk about a new topic for me. We all of heard about Psychic’s, most of us have been somewhere where there is someone telling fortunes, or maybe even have had our aura’s read. This is a subject that I have been fascinated with since I was a teen. This book breaks down psychic ability into little, bite-size, day by day, chunks. A topic that is so hard to wrap your mind around, has now been presented in a way, that not only can you understand it; but you can actually get into and practice the lessons.
From the back of the book:
Go from Intuitive Beginner to Master Psychic in just Five Minutes a Day
Unlock and strengthen your innate psychic potential with 365 fast, effective ways to develop your abilities. Beginning with simple observation skills and moving forward to trance and divination techniques, this book’s step-by-step practices guide you to psychic mastery.
Formatted to fit your personal pace and learning style, 365 Ways to Develop Your Psychic Ability shows you how to build your psychic muscles day by day. Learn meditation, trance techniques, divination, and how to perform readings. Discover extensive exercises on scrying, clairvoyance, intuition, empathy, and more. Using quick and accessible methods that build upon one another, this comprehensive book helps you become a proficient psychic.
Each lesson is listed out per day, and most are only a page long. It has a little exercise for you to do, most take 5 minutes or less to complete. But you must complete each lesson, in the order of the book. It is laid out kinda like a workbook. While, I started the book by jumping around, I noticed a huge difference when I did it how it was intended. It starts out very easy, for any beginner or anyone with no experience. For example, starting a journal, or being more observant to the world around you. Then moving to the harder subjects like, clairvoyance or divination.
It was fascinating to read about. Especially in such a way that I could actually follow it. Even if you are not a believer, this was a great read and well worth your time. I am truly looking forward to seeing how it will affect me a year from now.
Is this a topic that you would enjoy reading more about?
This is one of those rare books that grabs me from the very first sentence and refuses to let go. In fact, I read it all in one day and was very upset when it was over. Then went out and bought book 2 in this 5 book series.
From the back of the book:
Allie Sheridan’s world is falling apart. Her brother’s run away from home. Her parents ignore her. And she’s just been arrested. Again.
This time her parents have had enough. They send Allie to Cimmeria Academy – far away from her London friends. The school is beautiful, and filled with gorgeous, ultra-wealthy teens who travel by private jet, and were raised by nannies.
Allie has never felt more of an outsider.
Instead of hating boarding school though, Allie begins to feel happy. She’s slowly making friends. And there’s Carter, a brooding loner with whom she feels an instant connection.
But when Allie is attacked late one night, the school suddenly begins to feel like a very dangerous place. Allie finds out that nothing at Cimmeria is what it seems.
And that she is not who she thought she was…
This book starts out right in the heart of the story. It makes you jump in with both feet. Even with this kind of start (which is my favorite start to a book), it does a great job developing the characters and giving background information when you need it. Allie (the main character) develops from a huge pain in the butt, to a young woman that you care about. She is not nearly as bad as she sounds at the beginning of the story, while she is not a perfect daughter, all of her actions are explained throughout the book.
With the book being close to 500 pages, it is certainly not something that you can read in an hour. But even at the length, it is a fast read that has you turning the pages as fast as you can. With the list price at only $3.99 (and book 1 being the most expensive), there is no reason not to give this a try.
Also, it has a great YouTube series that goes with it. Be sure to check that out here
If you would like to preview the book or see other reviews please just click on the cover of the book. It will take you to the Amazon page.
