• Gift Giving Made Easy- DIY Penguin

    DIY-Penguins

Are your kids out of school next week? Looking for something easy and fun to do with them. Then why not try this adorable little penguin? My little ones loved how cute this turned out. Personally I LOVE penguins (some may call it an obsession but they are just to cute not to have a thing for).

  • School of Deaths

So I know that this is not a typical Christmas time read. But sometimes you just gotta have a break for all the sugary sweet Christmas stuff. Right? Well if you are needing a break then this is just the book for you. School of Deaths (The Scythe Wielder’s Secret) needs to be your next read. Any tween girls in the house, looking for a kick ass heroine to relate to? Give them this book! This was a great book, with an awesome twist on old mythology. There is no sex, while there is violence (I mean the title states School of Deaths), it is not real graphic or detailed. The girl is strong, smart AND pretty.

  • Gift Giving Made Easy- DIY Snowmen

    DIY- Snowmen

OMG how cute are these little snowmen! Everyone seemed to love my DIY Turkeys, (Click here for that amazingly cute post) so I thought that we needed to do something for winter. And who doesn’t love snowmen? This is the perfect little gift for the snowman lover in your family. Plus they were so simple that even my 4 year old made on completely on her own!

  • The S Word… ShapeWare

    girl_screaming

Lets talk about ShapeWare. I know I know, it is a touchy subject and one that no mom wants to admit to actually using. Because, well we are all perfect and never actually need help to hold things in, or push things up, or anything like that. Plus, they are so uncomfortable, who actually wants to wear them? Well, this post is about to get real; lets face it, there are times where a little extra help (especially after Thanksgiving but before the big company holiday party) to make sure that dress looks the absolute best on you.

  • Fooling Around with Cinderella

    Fooling Around With Cinderella

After all the holiday craziness (and family drama), are you needing something fun, fluffy and enjoyable to read? Then Fooling Around with Cinderella is the perfect story for you. It is sweet, simple and a great read.

It has everything that is needed for a perfect after holiday break that you need before jumping into the rest of the winter holidays. The characters are well developed. Everyone from the main characters, to her sister, to the rest of the staff, even her niece has a full personality. It was so refreshing to have such a great set of characters. The story moves along at a great pace. It certainly doesn’t dawdle, but let you stick around in each scene long enough to get a great feel of it and be ready to move on. While it has a pretty easy to see coming story line, it is still a nice read.

  • Welcome to Baking Season

    Sprinkles Cupcake

Can you believe that it is December? We are on the count down for Christmas and staring down 2016. In our house, once we pass Thanksgiving it is not the Christmas Season, we enter “Baking Season”. Personally I HATE to cook, you can’t get around it (cause kids like to eat). But baking, I love to bake; warm bread, cookies right out of the oven. That is why I was so excited to get the opportunity to work with Sprinkles Cupcakes and kick off our baking season with their yummy cupcakes.

These are no ordinary cupcakes, that you whip up from a box that you picked up at the store. These are gourmet quality, but from your kitchen, cupcakes. They are rich, dense (yet light), moist pieces of perfection. If you are so lucky to live in a city where you can go down and get one I would highly recommend it. Go now. I promise you won’t regret it. If you don’t live near one, no worries; you can order their mixes and make them at home.

  • V-Girl- A Dystopian Love Story

    VGirl- dystopian love story

Where to start with this story? It is a dystopian love story. As with most dystopian books, it is a hard read. The author’s writing style is a fast paced and straight to the point. She certainly does not waste any words on fluff. The subject matter is what I found hard to read. In a land where rape is legal (as long as it is done within the rules that have been set up for sanctioned rape) and virginity is a commodity to be traded or taken away, there were certainly scenes that made me cringe a bit.
